Visual artist Submissions

Welcome — we’re excited to see your work. The Cutler Collective champions artists by offering thoughtful, non‑exclusive representation and collaborative support to help place work with collectors, galleries, and partners. If you’d like us to consider representing you, please send up to 10 carefully selected images or files that best represent your practice.

 What we accept

  • Visual art (painting, drawing, photography, collage, printmaking, mixed media, sculpture, limited‑edition works, and related disciplines)
  • Single works or a concise series (please limit entries to 10 files total)

 How to submit

1. Prepare up to 10 images/files (see file specs below). Choose work that shows the strongest and most cohesive representation of your practice.

2. Include the required materials listed under “What to include.”

3. Submit via the online form [Insert submission form link here] OR email your materials to submissions@thecutlercollective.com with the subject line: Artist Submission — [Your Name].

File specs

  • Image formats: JPG or PNG (use high quality but optimized for web).
  • Max file size: 5 MB per image (or provide a link to high‑res images/cloud folder).
  • Naming convention: LastName_Title_Year.jpg (e.g., Cutler_Untitled_2024.jpg).
  • Video/animation: provide MP4 or a private link (Vimeo/YouTube) and timestamp(s) if relevant.

 What to include (required)

  • Up to 10 images/files of your work (see file specs). For each image include: Title | Year | Medium | Dimensions | Price | Edition details if applicable.
  • Artist statement (150–300 words)
  • Short bio (PDF)
  • Portfolio or website link and social handles
  • Preferred contact email and phone number

 Optional materials

  • Press clippings or reviews (PDF or links)
  • Exhibition history
  • Installation photos or detail shots (count toward the 10 file limit)

Rights, confidentiality & non‑exclusivity

  • You retain full copyright to your work.
  • By submitting, you confirm you have the rights to the images and grant The Cutler Collective permission to use submitted images for review and, if you are selected, for promotion and placement related to our representation efforts. If you do not wish images to be used for promotion, please note that in your submission.
  • Submissions are for non‑exclusive consideration — you remain free to pursue other opportunities.

What to expect

  • Review: We review submissions on a rolling basis. If your work is selected for representation or next steps, we’ll contact you.
  • Feedback: While we review every submission carefully, we’re not always able to provide individualized feedback. If you don’t hear from us, please feel free to check in or resubmit updated work after 6 months.

Tips for a strong submission

  • Edit ruthlessly: a concise, cohesive selection is better than an exhaustive one.
  • Prioritize quality images: clear, well‑lit photos with neutral backgrounds show work best.
  • Tell a story: use your artist statement to explain the practice, process, and context.
  • Be transparent about pricing and edition sizes to help us place the work appropriately.
